S2M Living

Moving day has started.     Good group of guys arrived, and we should be done before Halloween.   Sandy and I are trying to stay out of the way and enjoy the time.     The house owner will be over mid-afternoon to look over the house and hopefully give us a clean bill of health.   In the meantime, we will have a few mimosas and watch the guys work.     Truck in front of the house and Mimosas in hand. For the rest of the day it will be waiting around and encouraging the guys to finish up.  Then a shower and off to our road trip.   

 10/30/2020 Tomorrow is moving day… yeh.    It was a long wait but just one more night and we are on the road.   The moving truck is supposed to show up at 8:00AM and have us out of here before the end of the day.   Let’s hope, not too much has gone as plan so far on the move.    Sandy and I are killing time with margaritas and hanging out with our stuff.   Bessy is packed with everything we will need for the next month (we hope) and maybe more.    After they load the truck tomorrow, we are off.   First stop will be a night in Bakersfield CA tonight and then on to Independence CA in the morning.    People only go to Independence CA for one thing…    to ride Onion Valley Rd.    Cannot wait and more tomorrow when we are on the road. In garage with our stuff...

Getting Out of California Time to Travel This is the start of our journey.  Been in San Jose for 10 years and it's time to move on.  For the past few week's we have been packing and getting ready.   The fun part was getting Bessy read for the ride.  Bessy is our 1999 Nissan path finder we bought for Courtney years ago when she was swimming - thank Court for the ride.   She's now a camping machine.     Bessy Inside and Out ready for Travel and Living We gave her a test ride last weekend with great success.  A few minor tweaks and we are ready to go.
